TERMS AND CONDITIONS RUGBY COLLEAGUE GAME PROMOTION

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.  Please retain a copy for your information.

 

The personal data provided by entrants will only be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the promotion and at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at https://www.heineken.co.uk/legal-hub/brands-privacy-policy).  From time to time, the Promoter may share entrants’ personal data with their agents/representatives to assist with administering the promotion and contacting entrants (as necessary) and/or fulfilling the prize(s).

Who can enter

 

1. Only open to residents in the UK (excl. Isle of Man and Channel Islands) aged 18 or over, who are employees of any company in the Heineken group and Mesh Marketing Limited.

2. Smartphone, internet access and a valid email address are required. Your standard network rates apply.

 

How to enter


a) No purchase necessary. Scan the QR code in participating offices and locations to be directed to https://www.heineken.com/gb/en/rugbystaff. Confirm that you are over the age of 18 and eligible to take part in this promotion. The game is geo-fenced and can only be played when in your work location.
b) Enter your first name, last name and email address.
c) Confirm your acceptance of the promotion terms and conditions.
d) Users will be able to select their characters gender, ethnicity & kit.
e) Play the game by following instructions on screen by swiping left/right to dodge tackles. The character will move forward on its own. Players cannot move backwards. The aim of the game is to score a try to win points without being tackled. A try is awarded by avoiding all tackles and making it to the try line. A conversion is made by tapping at the right point (green zone) to direct the ball between the posts. User points scoring will be achieved based on distance travelled, try scored & conversion scored.
f) For initial play, users will only have 1 try attempt before being shown an end page message that allows them to replay or enter the prize promotion.
g) Entrants will be able to play again at which point additional levels will be added to offer a longer play experience.
h) All valid entries will be entered into the winning moments prize draws to win a branded rugby ball or branded rugby jersey. There are 9 x rugby balls and 5 x jerseys available per work location.

3. The promotion opens on 00:01 on 8th September 2023 and closes at midnight on 29th October 2023 (“Promotion Period”).

4. If you enter your details as set out at 2(f) at a preselected randomly allocated winning time you will then win one of the prizes available in your selected venue.

5. Winner selection is based on a winning moments mechanic and prizes will be allocated at random throughout the Promotional Period via an independently audited and verified winning moments programme prior to the start of the Promotion.

The winners will be the entrants whose game play is made at predetermined winning moment. However, if no entry is received for the randomly allocated period following the winning moment time period, the prize will be rolled over into one mop up draw at the end of the promotion period to be carried out on 30 October 2023. The first entrants selected in the mop up draw will win the prizes that remain

6. Limited to 1 entry per person per week throughout the Promotional Period, limited by email address and Star Pubs & Bars venue.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw a prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the spirit of the promotion or any instructions forming part of entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

The Prizes


8. The prizes are:
a) Size 5 Heineken-branded rugby ball
b) A premium long sleeve rugby style shirt, pantone matched to Heineken green, 100% cotton, with Heineken logo embroidered on chest. Available in a selection of sizes (1 x M, 2 x L, 1 x XL, 1 x XXL) (subject to availability).

There are 9 x rugby balls and 5 x jerseys available per location. Maximum 1 prize per person.

 

Winner notification and prize delivery (main promotion)


9. Winners who win in venue will be notified instantly what they have won and will receive an email.

10. For prize winners, they will be sent a follow up email with winning code and be told to claim their prize by contacting their site administrator/reception by showing their winning code to them. At this point, site administrator/reception will check that the win is valid on the user's device and offer prize. Winners of any mop up draw prize will be asked to provide their postal address so that the prize can be posted to them.

11. There is no cash or other alternative to these prizes in whole or in part. Prizes are not transferable. The Promoter reserves the right to reclaim the prize if it is transferred.

12. Provided no objection is received, if you are a winner, your surname and county of residence will be made available by the Promoter to anyone sending a request to consumercare@heineken.co.uk one month after the closing date of this Promotion, for a period of 12 weeks. You can object to your surname or county of residence being published or request for the amount of information being published to be reduced by making this known in an email to consumercare@heineken.co.uk. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on reasonable request.


Additional terms and conditions


13. An entry must be made directly by the individual entering the Promotion. Bulk entries from agents, trade, consumer groups or third parties are invalid and will not be accepted. Entries submitted by macros or other automated means together with entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms & Conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the Promotion in a way that is not consistent with the rules of the Promotion, that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize awarded will be void. Entries received in excess of the limitation as set out in Term 6 will be invalid and will not be accepted.

14. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, incomplete, illegible or delayed entries, such entries will be void. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt and promoter does not accept any responsibility for the non receipt or the late receipt of entries due to network failure or for any associated costs to entrants. No entries submitted via any other means will be accepted. The promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the entry route.

15. The decision of the Promoter in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.

17. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this promotion at any time due to circumstances beyond its control.

18. All taxes (including without limitation national & local taxes) in connection with any prize and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

19. The Promotion and these Terms (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) are subject to English law. Any disputes must be referred to the English and Welsh courts. Consumers in Scotland and Northern Ireland may additionally bring an action in their home courts.
