This is where the ‘Schrootmolen’ or ‘malt mill’ did its milling. Malt grains were crushed and ground to malted barley. Together with water, this ground grain is the most important ingredient in the brewing process. Today, this large room with its beautifully crafted wooden bar can host a reception for 250 people, or a sit-down dinner for 130. It can also be used as a theatre for 60 people, or in a U-shape for 32 people.
